Our history

How we started

MWADEMO was founded in response to persistent challenges facing rural communities—limited economic opportunities, environmental degradation, and vulnerability to climate change.

What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a structured organisation working hand-in-hand with communities, local authorities, and partners to implement practical, long-term solutions.

Our approach

Working with communities

  • Participatory community engagement and co-design
  • Capacity building and local leadership strengthening
  • Evidence-based planning and measurable outcomes
  • Sustainability through ownership and partnerships
