What the program is

The Advocacy, Capacity Building & Partnerships Program strengthens community voices, local institutions, and development systems to achieve inclusive and sustainable change.

MWADEMO supports advocacy and lobbying efforts that amplify the needs and priorities of marginalised and underrepresented communities, ensuring they are recognised in local, district, and national development processes.

The program also provides Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) training and consultancy, equipping communities and organisations with tools to analyse their own challenges, identify priorities, and design locally driven solutions.

Why it matters

Many community-based organisations and rural groups face limited influence in decision-making, weak institutional capacity, and poor access to funding opportunities, despite being closest to the challenges they seek to address.
